Kelty had a full squad to choose from against Sauchie with the return of Craig O'Reilly, Steve Manson and Mark Morrison from holiday but gaffer Tam Courts kept with the same line up that beat Penicuik last week.

In the 1st half Kelty played well without having the finishing touch in front of goal, we hit the bar through Roger Duffin, Nelly McCabe had a good chance that was blocked and long range efforts from Conrad Courts and Scott Lawrie were saved well by the Sauchie goalkeeper.

Sauchie had one chance of note when the industrious McCabe blocked the Sauchie forward when it looked like Allison in the Kelty goal would have to be called upon.

It remained 0-0 at the break and coming out for the 2nd period The Hearts knew we had to take our chances when they came to collect all the 3 points.

On 50mins the breakthrough came for the home side when a superb cross from Scott Lawrie was met by the head of Brian Ritchie who scored after a well timed run. 1-0 Kelty.

The 2nd goal came 3mins later when our in form hitman Stuart Cargill found himself 1 on 1 with the goalie after an Allison kick out and there was only one outcome for the confident striker as he finished under the Sauchie number 1 to make it 2-0 Kelty.

This seemed to knock the stuffing out of the away side and on 70mins Stuart Cargill got his 2nd, after great closing down he got his reward when the Sauchie defender tried to clear the ball and it hit off the Super League top scorer's foot and sailed into the bottom corner of the net to wrap the game up for Kelty, 3-0.

Another strong positive team performance and we will need to take the same attitude into next weeks big derby match where we will face our biggest test so far this season as we travel to our rivals Hill Of Beath.
