Kelty Hearts face Premier League opposition for the second time in 7 days when the side make the trip north to Tannadice for a Bet Fred Cup Tie against Dundee United.

The games are coming thick and fast for Kelty but the side will be up for the challenge this Tuesday Evening. Kelty are coming off a 4-0 win to get the Lowland League Campaign off to a flying start on Saturday.

Bet Fred Cup

Kelty are coming off a respectable game against St Johnstone in which the Kelty Jambos made life difficult for their SPL visitors. 25 minutes into the second half it was eventual Man of the Match Kallum Higginbottom who set up Tidser for a shot that curled past the keeper and into the corner of the net. St Johnstone held on for the 2-1 win in that match before hitting 7 against Brechin City in their Bet Fred tie at the weekend.

Dundee United have already played in 2 of their 4 Bet Fred ties, a 6-2 win against Brechin City in their opening fixture followed by a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Peterhead on Saturday at Tannadice. Dundee United now sit second in the group with an all SPL fixture to close out their Bet Fred Cup after this Tuesday game against Kelty.

Players to Watch

Darren Jamieson will be tested between the sticks again this Tuesday. The ex Livingstone and Arbroath shot stopper was busy and played well against St Johnstone last Wednesday. There wasn’t much asked of Jamieson on Saturday as Kelty opened their Lowland League campaign with a tie against Edinburgh University, when he was called upon Jamieson was able to keep the visitors at bay.
