Kelty are on the road again on Saturday after picking up maximum points against Cumbernauld in their last two Lowland League fixtures, this time they face an in form Gala Fairydean Rovers side.
Kelty travel to Galashiels coming off back to back meetings with Cumbernauld Colt in which the side secured six points and a first win at Broadwood, a result that catapulted Kelty up to Second in the Lowland League.
The Fairydean Rovers are coming off their best start to a season in the Lowland League having won six of their opening eight league fixtures. The home side didn’t play midweek after their clash with Gretna 2008 was called off early Wednesday.
Head to Head
Saturdays meeting between the two sides will be the fourth meeting with Kelty winning all four of the previous meetings. The Netherdale has been a challenging g away venue for Kelty with both games finishing with a single goal margin in favour of the visitors.
Last time out finished 2-1 to Kelty at The Netherdale with Nathan Austin finding the back of the net alongside Stephen Husband.

Players to Watch
Kallum Higginbotham leads the way for Kelty in both Goals (4) and Assist (6) but has failed to find the back of the net over his last 6 outings in the Maroon. Austin looks like he’s back to full fitness and this should take some of the pressure off Higginbotham and allow the talented attacker to to add to his tally on Saturday.
Ex-Kelty midfielder Scott Taylor-MacKenzie is also one to keep an eye on, Taylor-MacKenzie has been inform for Gala Fairydean Rovers this season and will be looking to cause an upset against his old side when they come to town.
