Kelty face Cumbernauld Colts at home on Saturday in the first of two back to back league meetings between the two sides.

The home side return to New Central Park for league action after comfortably taking care of Brechin City in Betfred action last weekend. Kelty finished with 4 points in their first appearance in the competition having taken a point from Peterhead followed by 3 points away to Brechin City.

Cumbernauld Colts are coming off a pair of impressive wins in the league beating East Stirlingshire 3-2 away from home before travelling to Innerleithen to beat Vale 4-0. Those 2 wins put the Colts comfortably into 10thplace and they’ll look to build on that this weekend.

Head to Head

Saturdays meeting between the two sides will only be the fourth with Cumbernauld having won two of the previous three meetings. Kelty have won the only other encounter and the only one played at New Central Park with a late Chalmers winner late on a Wednesday night.

Last time out Cumbernauld were eventual winners with a Nathan Austin goal not enough to secure any points on the night.

Last 3 Meetings:

Cumbernauld Colts          2-1      Kelty Hearts

Kelty Hearts                       1-0      Cumbernauld Colts

Cumbernauld Colts          3-2      Kelty Hearts

Players to Watch

Nathan Austin made his return to the squad last weekend coming on as a substitute in Kelty’s 2-0 win over Brechin City. Austin was able to get on the scoresheet last time round but Cumbernauld prevailed eventually winning 2-1 at Broadwood.

Kelty has seen a decent volume of change in the squad since the last meeting but a few remain and will be looking to avenge last seasons defeat, none more so than Austin.
