The Betfred Cup continues with Kelty playing in their 3rd Group C /tie, this time against Peterhead.

Kelty Hearts saw their 26 games unbeaten in the league come to an end on Saturday after losing 1-0 to fellow title challengers East Kilbride. Saturdays result shouldn’t distract from the job at hand on Tuesday evening as Kelty look to pick up their first points in the Betfred Cup,

Visitors Peterhead have endured a difficult start to their league campaign picking up three points from their opening 4 games, Saturday came down to just the one goal for Peterhead also as they went down 3-2 at home to Montrose. Their Betfred campaign however has started well with the Aberdeenshire side picking up a maximum 6 points from their first two outings in the cup.

Head to Head

Tuesday night won’t be the first meeting between the two sides having previously met in the Scottish Cup back in 2018.

In their previous meeting it was Peterhead who were eventual winners finishing 3-2 after 90 minutes of football. Two of Kelty’s current squad started in that match, but for Peterhead, Jamie Stevenson and Paddy Boyle will be familiar with the Blue Toon having played their prior to making the switch to Maroon this year.
