Kelty were able to secure the signature of defender Craig Reid during the 2019/20 winter break adding an a wealth of experience to the squad at New Central Park.

Craig began his Professional Youth Career with Celtic F.C. before joining Queen of the South after a spending half a season on loan with Stirling Albion. While at Queen of the South Craig notched up 113 appearances for the Dumfries side before signing with Greenock Morton in 2012. Craig then joined SPL Side Motherwell in early 2014 where he played 34 times, scoring once in the final game of the season which secured Motherwell Second Place in the SPL that year.

Next up for Reid was a spell at Dunfermline Athletic where he helped the League One Side gain promotion back to the Championship at the end of the 2015/16 Season. Craig went on to have brief spells, first with Iceland Side Keflavik and then back in Scotland with Peterhead and Ayr United before signing with Lowland League Side East Kilbride. Having spent a successful Season and a half with East Kilbride, which included winning the Lowland League and entering the playoffs at the end of the 2018/2019 Season, Craig Joined Kelty Hearts where he went on to help the Fifers secure their first Lowland League Title for the 2019/20 Season.

Honours: Craig has Several Honours already throughout his career including POTY Awards at Morton and Queen of the South, a League One Title with Dunfermline Athletic and 2 Lowland League Winners Medals with East Kilbride and Kelty Hearts.
