Kelty added a goal scoring threat in Nathan Austin ahead of the 2019-20 Season from Championship Side Inverness Caley Thistle.
Austin, known as Fash amongst supporters, began his youth career with East Wemyss District U15s before joining Amateur side Leven United where he played until 2013.
In 2013 Austin signed his first professional contract with League One outfit East Fife, signs of Austin’s ability in front of goal began to show in his second season with East Fife where he netted a Hattrick against Threave Rovers in the Scottish Cup and knocked four past Elgin City in a 3-5 win. Austin’s third season with East Fife saw him score 24 goals in all competitions for East Fife. The 2015-16 Season also saw Austin pick up a League TwoWinners Medal with the Fifers.
Austin’s performance during his time at East Fife caught the attention of Falkirk F.C, who signed Austin during the January Transfer window, Austin finished the season at East Fife on loan as part of the transfer deal and joined up with Falkirk ahead of the 2016-17 Season. Austin went on to spend two seasons with Falkirk where he scored on 13 occasions over 44 appearances before being released from his contract in December 2017.
Prior to signing for Kelty Hearts Austin went on to Championship Side Inverness Caley Thistle where he spent a season and a half with the Caley Jags scoring 11 times in the championship
Honours: Fash has two League Winners Medals, a League Two Medal with East Fife and a Lowland League Medal with Kelty from the 2019-20 Season. Austin was part of the League Two Team of the Year in 2015-16 and was also the Lowland Leagues Top Goalscorer in 2019-20 scoring 37 goals in 25 appearances, 20 goals more than the second placed Top Goalscorer for the shortened season.
