Ross Philp

DOB: 20/02/1992
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5ft 10in
Joined: July 2017, Previous Spell 2012 to 2014

Previous Clubs: Alloa Athletic F.C, Bo’ness United F.C.

Ross started out as a young player with Hearts before signing his 1st professional contract with Alloa Athletic. Ross spent 3 years at Recreation Park where a cruciate knee injury unfortunately put him out the game for almost 16 months.

Ross made the decision to leave Alloa to join Kelty Hearts in 2012 where he became one of the most important players in the squad with his selfless work, ability and his versatility. Kelty struggled in season 2013/2014 staying in the East Super League only through a play off and Ross decided to move on at the emnd of that season.

Ross moved onto Boness in 2014 where he spent 3 seasons before coming back to New Central Park in 2017, he has helped the club win 2 titles in 3 years.

A real fans favourite and an important member of the squad who gives his all every game, to come back so strongly from 2 cruciate injuries is a testament to the Valleyfield boys spirit and determination.

Honours: Philp was part of the Kelty Hearts East of Scotland League winning team in 2017-18 and the Lowland League winning team in 2019-20.
