Kelty secured the signature of experienced former Falkirk, St Johnstone and Dundee United Defender Tam Scobbie at the beginning of the 2019/20 Season.

Tam began his professional football career with Falkirk after playing in their youth academy from age twelve. Scobbie made 156 Appearances for The Bairns and was part of the 2011/12 Challenge Cup winning Team. During his final game for Falkirk Tam was given the captaincy and scored the opening goal in a 3-2 win. While at Falkirk Tam also made appearances for the National Team at U17 and U21 level.

After leaving Falkirk in Summer of 2012 Tam returned to SPL Football, this time for St Johnstone. During his 5 years with The Saints Tam made 105 appearances in the SPL and was able to play European football as St Johnstone completed in the Europa League Qualifiers. After leaving St Johnstone Tam went on to sign for Championship side Dundee United where he played 19 times for United over a 2 year spell which included loan spells at Partick Thistle and Brechin City.

As well as 236 appearances at SPL level including appearances in the Europa League Tam has a Scottish Challenge Cup winners medal with Falkirk and was part of the Lowland League Winning Team for the 2019/20 Season with Kelty Hearts.
